what is involved?

Youth Footy is fun and tailor made for both boys and girls aged 13.5 to 17.5. It is the perfect progression on from Footy4Fun – Junior Footy and enables your child the opportunity to play with the Narangba Crows in a graded competition.

Guided by their Coach, each team trains one night per week, with games held over the weekend. It is fun, fast and works to develop their skills and tactics, whilst building new friendships and focusing on teamwork.

There are two age categories:

Age 13.5-14.5
Key Principles
– Fun and safe
– Play with mates
– Focus on developing skills and tactics
– Modified rules, playing area and equipment

Age 15.5-17.5
Key Principles
– Fun and fast
– Play with mates
– Continue developing skills and tactics
– Full Laws of Australian Football are applied, playing same brand of football seen at the elite level.

NEW TO THE CROWS?
To welcome families and new players to the Crows, if you register your child to play for the Crows in 2025 they will receive a complete uniform kit to the value of $77 for FREE. ^T&C Apply.

Registration fees 2023 are outlined below.
Registration Fees – there are 2 components to registration fees a Club Fee and an AFL Fee* The Club Fees will be invoiced separately, and any applicable discounts applied at this time.

Included in your Club fees:
– Club Shirt
– Team Photo
– Training Bag
– Ticket to our end of year presentation with trophy

Additional Costs:
– Club Playing Shorts
– Club Footy socks

Fair Play vouchers are valid for use for registration fees. More information on Fair Play vouchers for sport can be found HERE
*Fees are current for the 2023 season and subject to change for 2024 season. Terms and conditions apply for early sign on and Loyalty program.
^To be eligible for the New Player sign on Kit incentive, the registering player must not have previously been registered to play for the Narangba Crows.

Uniform
UNIFORM AND GAME DAY REQUIREMENTS

Our Club is proudly represented by the uniform we wear to both training and games. The following are the uniform requirements and can be purchased from the Club House on week day training nights and/or Home Games from the Canteen.

Training (These items are optional):
– Training Shorts $10.00 each
– Training Singlet $27.00 each

Game Day (These items are required to be worn to take the field):
– Club Socks $10/pair
– Blue Shorts (worn for our home games) $25.00/each
– White Shorts (worn for away games) $25.00/each
– Team Guernsey is provided game to game or for the duration of the season to borrow
– Football Boots

how do i register my child
HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?

Registration for 2023 season opens on the 1st November 2022.

The 2023 Season runs from 20th March 2023 – 31 October 2023.

To register for the 2023 season, click the red 'Register Now' button below.

Registration is simple. You will create a Play HQ profile and use that profile to register your children. Don’t worry though, we will provide you direct links to the registration pages for your ease.

WHERE & WHEN DOES MY CHILD PLAY
WHERE & WHEN DOES MY CHILD PLAY?

Game locations and details are communicated via your Coach and Team Manager. This is normally done at the commencement of the season, once AFL Qld release the Fixture.

Throughout the season you can keep up to date on any fixture changes with your Coach or Team Manager, alternatively you can log into Play HQ and view all the fixture information.

WHAT IS A GRADED COMPETITION?
So that each Footy Club gets the chance to play in a fair and level competition in regards to skill and ability, prior to commencing the season each club plays 'graded' games. At the conclusion of these grading games each team is put into a grade and will play against other Clubs who have been considered of similar skill and ability.

IS THERE A GIRLS ONLY YOUTH FOOTY OPTION?
Absolutely. At the Narangba Crows we are dedicated to seeing girls in Footy. With girls only Youth Footy Teams for ages 13-17.

WHERE WILL MY CHILD TRAIN & HOW FREQUENTLY?
Your child will train a minimum of once a week at our Home Field - Burpengary Sports Complex on Findlay Street. Each team will have a Coach and Team Manager who will communicate the training weekday and time.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED AS A PARENT?

Volunteers are the backbone of our club. Your help is always welcome come game day. During the season we will call upon parents and carers to help with volunteer roles so that our teams can take the field. Roles include: water runners, ground marshall, goal umpires, umpires, first aid officer, canteen operators. To volunteer, parents and carers must register as a volunteer at Play HQ – click HERE to register as a club volunteer. WHERE WILL MY CHILD PLAY THE GAMES?

During the season your child will play a match against another AFL Club. The location, date & time of these games is determined by AFL QLD. Games will be a mix of at our Home Field – Burpengary Sports Complex on Findlay Street or at our opposing teams home ground. Your child’s Coach and Team Manager will communicate this information to you, however it will always be available on Play HQ – check it out HERE

WHAT IF WE EXPERIENCE WET WEATHER?
In the case of wet whether the suitability and safety of whether a match or training can be undertaken is made by the Coaches and Clubs. Any changes to the season fixture due to wet weather will be communicated to you via the Coach or Team Manager.
