NAB AFL AUSKICK
WHAT IS INVOLVED?

60 minutes of non-contact game-based activities that are fun, safe, and customised for the different skill levels and ages (ages 5-12) involved. Our club focuses on ensuring your child is involved and engaged in the session the whole time, to maximise the fun and learning. NAB AFL Auskick introduces your child to foundational skills of Australian Rules Football including:
– Marking
– Handballing
– Kicking
– Team work

Not just any program! Your child, you, our valued parents are involved on the field together during some of our activities and to enjoy making memories with your child. The best thing is you don’t need to be an elite footy playing parent to help out.

Activities include:
– Around the world
– Handball Heroes
– Ruckman’s Treasure
– Here, There, Everywhere
– Super Boot, plus so many more

is tackling involved?
IS TACKLING INVOLVED?

No, this is a non-contact level of AFL! This means no tackling, we focus on safe activity play that focuses on their foundation skills first.

As they progress through different levels of footy, tackling is gradually introduced, beginning with standing bear hugs right up until under 10s level. Once they reach under 10s level the kids are taught how to tackle safely and properly.

Rest assured choosing AFL footy at the Narangba Crows does not expose your children to full contact, tackling game play and activities until we as a Club, the coaches and yourself are happy for them to begin.

Your child’s safety is of a primary focus for us.

This program has been specifically designed for boys and girls born between 1/7/2016 and 30/6/2018 who have participated in the NAB AFL Auskick program. The focus is on furthering their development of foundation footy skills, whilst also helping to build on you child’s social and teamwork skills.
